The gentle money in global bricks-and- mortar investments has no doubt been made in a spectacular reclamation over the past two years, but SA investors haven’t necessarily missed the ship.

Those who got their post-crash timing right could have nearly tripled the value of their investment in offshore true estate investment trusts (Reits) over the past 26 months. The UBS international investors index, which tracks listed property markets across the US, Europe, Australia and Asia, has delivered a total report of a substantial 185% in US dollars since the market bottomed on March 9 2009. Pandemic listed property is now trading at average income yields of 5%-6%, down from a note 8% in 2008/2009.

Even so, listed real estate is still some 20% off its 2007 nib in many markets, says Jamie Boyes, who manages Cape- based Catalyst Dough Managers’ global real estate fund. He notes there are still mess of cash-flush pension funds and private equity players chasing the shut income streams offered by commercial real estate around the everyone.

Presented is a neat sterling hollowware tray. Sketch was made in Birmingham, England in 1901, by William Hutton & Sons Ltd. Appropriately hallmarked in the bottom liberal corner with the maker & English sterling marks. Also numbered on the bottom frieze. Whole personal is superbly done in floral & scroll repousse configuration. Center is initialed with M.D. Measures 11.5" x 8" x .5" rangy. Weighs 320 grams or 11 1.4 oz. In loving terrible state.
