Where can I buy a necklace chain for my locket?

An old china bought me a white gold necklace medallion recently but unfortunately it has not met with a string - it's just the medallion - if I can not unravel.

 I bought a locket yesterday but the chain it's on is way too sententious and so it sits really consequential up my chest. Where, in the UK, could I find a plain silver chain? Preferably completely long. Will ordinary jewelry shops rep them?

Killers may have stolen victim's 'distinctive' jewellery

The killers of a 70-year-old Lincoln man may have stolen his "unique" jewellery, according to detectives investigating his murder.

Sonny Elderly, of Westwick Gardens, died after being attacked in his home on 29 October.
