 I am thinking about buying a 0925 sterling silver chain lying in 14k pink gold and I was wondering if it would precipitate my neck out in bumps. I have been known to have a neck that always breaks when I annoy reactive metal chains. but.

 Well, are you allergic (or reactive) in silver or gold??? Right of mind because the Silver .925 is 14K gold-plated no exception you will not be allergic.
You need to know what you are allergic to metal. You can try it and see.

 I lack the silver not to be gray and dull but to down like sterling .925 silver. Do I use some breed of sand paper?
When the rhodium wears away, the .925 underlying silver is gray, not sterling. How could I redecorate it into sterling silver instead of getting it re-plated

 Take it over to a jewlery put by like Jerads (I might have spelled that lapse) and ask them what to do.

I am99% sure that they will squeak you to use a buffing cloth and a cleaning resolution.

DO NOT USE SAND PAPER! Even the good stuff will scratch the crap out of it.
