 I gave my boyfriend a sterling silver ring very basic for Christmas. A few days ago, we went to sit in a chlorine filled very Jacuzzi and we do not think the toll should be on his ring. Any suggestions on how to give it to someone back? If at all possible.

 I have knowledge of what you mean by sterling silver tarnishing. I have a sterling silver crux pendant from Tiffany's and I went into a jacuzzi with it. It was honestly tarnished after wards. I wouldn't pin one's faith a rhodium plating. It doesn't tax evenly and scratches and resizing is farcical.
